Precision Balances

Precision balances (or precision scales) are weighing instruments with a readability of 0.001 g (1 mg) or better, which is often referred to as three-digit precision. While not as highly accurate as analytical balances, precision balances are far cheaper and are sufficient for a range of laboratory applications.
