Vacuum Traps
A vacuum trap condenses vapors into another state (solid or liquid). Also called a cold trap, it protects vacuum pumps from contamination by trapping the potentially damaging vapor into its condensed form before it can be introduced into the pump (hence the name). Only the permanent gases (hydrogen, nitrogen, and carbon monoxide) are immune to the vacuum/cold trap, as they will remain in a gaseous state.
Vacuum traps are available in multiple configurations, with different joint sizes, hose connections, and specific application.
