Description

These syringe filters are made using polypropylene medical-grade housings with Luer-Lock fittings in compliance with ISO 594-1. Filters are color-coded for easy identification.The 4 mm size is for samples under 2 mL.

  • MCE (Mixed Cellulose Esters) - Recommended for all filtrations in aqueous or polar media, bacteria filtration, maximum protein recovery.
  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) - Recommended for filtration of water-soluble oligomers, polymers, e.g. protein solutions, and hydrophobic substances in different organic solvents.
  • Nylon - Recommended for filtration of aqueous or organic/aqueous medium polar liquids. General-purpose filter, not for acids and halogenated solvents.
  • PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) - Recommended for viscous organic-based HPLC samples. Excellent chemical compatibility for filtering harsh chemicals including aggressive solvents and organics.
  • PP (Polypropylene) - Recommended biological samples, filtration of aggressive organic solutions. Hydrophilic membrane suitable for both aqueous and organic samples.
  • RC (Regenerated Cellulose) - Recommended for tissue culture and general biological sample filtration due to it's low non-specific binding characteristics for proteins. Hydrophilic membrane with good solvent resistance and DMSO compatibility.
  • CA (Cellulose Acetate) - Recommended for filtration and clarification of biological fluids, sterilization of media additives and serum.
  • PES (Polyethersulfone) - Recommended for tissue culture, proteins, buffer and nucleic acids filtration.
  • Glass Fiber - Recommended for preliminary filtration or filtration of media that is difficult to filter. Glass Fiber is inert to solvents, acids and bases.
